Hundreds of Catholics accompany Palm Sunday procession in Honduras

Honduras commemorates with jubilation the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem through multitudinous Palm Sunday processions. From Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Olancho, Danlí and Choluteca, the Honduran Catholic parishioners took to the streets to welcome Holy Week with their olive branches in their hands. Children, young people, adults and elderly people went to the different churches from early hours to accompany the Palm Sunday procession that announces the triumphal entry of Jesus to Jerusalem. In the Honduran capital, families gathered at the El Calvario Church located in Barrio Abajo and went to the San Miguel Arcángel Metropolitan Cathedral to attend the homily.
